RAID Recovery
RAID Recovery Made Easy
Raid Recovery offers home and office users an affordable and easily usable way to recover lost data and repaid damaged RAID arrays of various types.

Recover RAID-5 with RAID Recovery.
RAID-5, or Independent data disks with distributed/interleaved parity blocks, is modification of RAID-4 which is RAID-0 with one additional drive that stores checksums to reconstruct one lost block in one stripe, so for example, RAID-4 can loose any drive (but no more) and will keep functionality. RAID-5 modifies to RAID-4 by sorting the data of one checksum drive between all the drives in array, so the first stripe can have the checksum block on the last drive while second stripe will have it on another drive. It increases write performance for small files in large amounts, but reduces read performance a bit comparable to RAID-4 and write speed for small files in small amounts. Also it requires more power of controller or central processor. However, it's one of the most popular RAID arrays due to it's speed and the fact that the size of only one drive is used for checksums, so if you increase the amount of drives in array, you'll raise the percent of useful space. RAID-5 has many variations that differs by the method of placing checksum blocks.
On a typical four-drive RAID-5 set each stripe has one checksum block (xp), but these blocks are not stored on the single drive.
How can I perform RAID-5 recovery with RAID Recovery?
If you can't access some files or even the whole array, it's time to begin RAID-5 recovery. You need to disable the RAID and make drives appear as separate devices to let RAID Recovery manage the recovery process completely. Start RAID-5 recovery by running RAID Wizard. Configure the Wizard mode for RAID-5 recovery as on the picture - select Standard Mode and RAID.
On the next screen select RAID level as RAID-51, choose disk count you've used in the array. For RAID-5 recovery you should set stripe size if possible and RAID controller to help RAID Recovery find the matching variation of RAID-5 used in your system.
Next form will ask you to select the drives you've used in your RAID. Select them and continue RAID-5 recovery.
On the RAID constructor screen you should check all the available RAID configurations and leave at least one that matches your file and folder structure closely to make RAID-5 recovery successful. If your RAID don't have any major problems, you may not include any one drive from the array. As described above, RAID-5 can reconstruct one missed drive with the checksums it has.
When you'll complete the RAID Wizard, your new virtually created RAID will appear in the list of devices available to scan marked in red. Now click it to open Disk Wizard to recover your data.

Testimonials
"Thanks for the app. It is very effective and very easy to use."
Thomas Danisi, United States
"I have used File Undelete program and it did a great job recovering 690 pictures I had lost due to reformating the SD card.
I'm very pleased with the product."
Gene Shipman, United States
"Thank you so much for your support, I really appreciate your service. Whenever I get in touch with a person that
has a similar HDD problem I will recommend your product.
Almost all files could be recovered. I tested various products
but not one could recover as much as yours. Just great!!"
Beat Stemmler, Switzerland
"I have been able to recover and save all of the really critical files that were lost and now I am verifying that they are ok.
One of the most critical things was the backup
that was taken just prior to the damage. So far, with just a few glitches, I have been able to recover the whole backup.
I am impressed with this program. I tried a number of tools to get this data back and Drive Recovery was the only one that would
do more than just show me some of the lost folders. Nice work."
Emery Nash, United States
"I'll surely recommend 1st NTFS Recovery and the Support Team!"
