RAID Recovery

RAID Recovery Made Easy

Raid Recovery offers home and office users an affordable and easily usable way to recover lost data and repaid damaged RAID arrays of various types.

How to use Power Search technology in RAID Recovery.

The Power Search technology.

Advanced version of patented PowerSearch Technology, designed for recovery of the files which can't be found by scanning the file system, is introduced in RAID Recovery. PowerSearch technology is a huge library of file signatures, powerful file detection engine which can detect separate files in bunch of bytes stored which are what the drive surface looks like. Like with other our products, you can expect to get the file even if the file system is unavailable or damaged.

PowerSearch Technology is a part of RAID Recovery DiskWizard. When you run DiskWizard, PowerSearch Technology activates automatically and scans the drive surface for the files of more than 200 file formats. In some cases, if the file is fragmented, it can be reconstructed after the scan.

How can I access the files found by PowerSearch Technology of RAID Recovery?

When the scan is completed, you'll see the virtual folder Recovered Files in the search results of RAID Recovery. Inside of this folder there were several folders with found files sorted by file type. All the found files will not have original names and folder structure, as the file system is no used, but in most cases it's the only way to get the lost files. You always can find the file you need with our preview option.

Is it possible to recover the overwritten file with RAID Recovery PowerSearch Technology?

For more experienced users, Manual mode allows re-creating the array by simply dragging and dropping icons representing separate hard drives. It is possible to set or modify all configuration parameters such as type of the array, RAID controller, stripe size, and disk order.

Compatibility

PowerSearch Technology is the only way to get the older version of the file you need. In most software applications ''save'' option doesn't mean real overwrite: to protect the file in cases of poweroff, the new version is saved to the temporary file, only then original file is deleted and temporary file is renamed to match the file you edit. In such cases if you take a look at the file table, you'll see only one record of your file, and it will address the latest version of the file. So how to get the older version if it's still exists on the drive physically? You know the answer - PowerSearch Technology. Run the DiskWizard from RAID Recovery, scan your drive and check all the files of the type your file was, and you have great chances to find the version you need there!

Always keep your RAID Recovery up to date, as we add new file formats to PowerSearch Technology every time we release new version of the product.
